I'm still keeping my head above water as the weight of my grad school responsibilities and project deadlines bear down. I predict a lot of yoga in my near future. But seriously, where did the last six weeks of school go? Here are some photos that highlight the past two weeks:
Prepping wood panels for gilding.
Applying clay bole on our soon-to-be gilded panels.
Natural dyes workshop with conservator Ruth Norton. In this photo we are allowing the indigo dyed fabric to properly oxidize (turn from green to blue).
Some of our gorgeous results - goldenrod dyed wool.
Madder root and goldenrod dyed wool.
Indigo, madder root, and goldenrod dyed fabric. During this workshop we found our inner hippie.
